VARIATIONS ON THE UNTAMED
A staged reading/tribute of the poetic work of Eleni Lintzaropoulou, conceived and directed by Angeliki Kasola
On the occasion of Poetry Month and International Women’s Day, we continue to draw inspiration from women creators and present at Restart Theater Athens the staged reading performance “Variations on the Untamed,” a tribute to the work of the poet Eleni Lintzaropoulou.
Seven women on stage give voice to 16 poems from five of the poet’s collections:
The Pithos of Women (Friends’ Editions, 2013)
The Age of Words (Friends’ Editions, 2015)
The Impertinent Shadow (ARMOS Publications, 2017)
Invisible Wound (ARMOS Publications, 2019)
Variations on the Untamed (ARMOS Publications, 2020)
Words, music, and emotion come together to form a poetic stage journey, conceived and directed by Angeliki Kasola, where the female voice, memory, paradox, and the untameable are transformed into a living experience.
The poet will be introduced by the writer and theatre critic Maro Triantafyllou, who also selected the poems.
After the presentation, as always, we offer wine and continue the conversation with the audience, the poet, and the performance team, creating shared experiences and gatherings where art brings us closer together.
